Feeding the Families at RMH

A meal can be one less decision for a family whose days are already filled with appointments, uncertainty, and time away from home.

Ronald McDonald House Charities gave the Varney family hospitality and a place of support during Lindsey’s illness. Returning to serve families at the Charleston, West Virginia house became a deeply personal way for the foundation to give that care back.

“We were the fortunate recipients of the great hospitality provided through this organization as we traveled the long road of Lindsey’s illness.”

Foundation volunteers prepared and served a meal for families staying near the medical care their children needed. The work was practical and immediate: gather people, prepare food, and make a difficult day feel a little less lonely.
